Road collapsing next to drain
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:10, Thu 3 October 2024
Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6548099.
Gerard Avenue. The road has a hole 2 feet/ 60cm accross, approx 6"/15cm deep next to drain/above sewer. Crack now right across road from one side to the other. Getting worse all the time. It looks like the drain/sewer underneath has collapsed.

The hole is now deeper and wider. If it keeps on growing like this, the whole road is going to collapse. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

The hole continues to get bigger and deeper. Three months and counting. Are they waiting for the road to collapse completely?

I first reported this 3/10/24 then 31/1/25. Thames Water have investigated and say it is not down to them, it is the council Their Case Number is 00974208 The hole is still getting deeper and wider. Will the council please sort this out before the road disappears into the hole. Vehicles are now being damaged as they go down into the hole.
