Cycling prohibition obscured by hanging baskets

Sent to Reading Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6543161.

There are “no cycling” reminder signs on several lamp posts along the pedestrianised section of Broad Street. These reminder signs are very welcome as cyclists present a significant nuisance to pedestrians in this supposedly pedestrianised area. Cycling is clearly prohibited by signage at either end but the prohibition seems to be pretty much universally ignored (apols to the few cyclists who might obey), hence the reminders do serve a purpose. Unfortunately, whoever was responsible for placing hanging baskets has placed the baskets directly in front of the “no cycling” reminder signs, rendering them pretty well hidden,
