Overgrown shrubbery and trees hindering cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Verges category anonymously at 11:30, Wed 2 October 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6541807.

There is a two-way cycle/shared use path on the A35, from the flyover toward Spicers Hill. This is now so overgrown that it has narrowed to one lane, with cyclists/pedestrians unable to safely pass each other but having to pull in and wait (whilst also have two lanes of 50mph traffic thundering past). The overgrowth has been getting worse all summer.

  • Some of the shrubbery had died back for the winter, but mostly it’s still covering up to 50% of the shared use path
