Gate across Cycle Track needs repair

Reported via desktop in the Park Repairs category by Jennie Randall at 13:53, Tue 1 October 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6538296.

The gate across the Cycle Track is dragging on the ground because the wooden area where the hinge is located is rotting away. It has been getting worse for years and is becoming increasingly difficult to open as the bottom of the gate drags on the ground. Please can it be repaired.

  • That wooden thing (betwen the gate and the post) in the second picture is a tripping hazard when walking through Jubilee Park at night when it is pitch black or if a blind person takes that route to travel past the gate.

  • There is no canal at Jubilee Country Park. I suspect the message posted on 31st January is incorrect.

  • Thank you for your patience, we currently have a contractor about to proceed with these works. Unfortunately due to issues in the supply chain, beyond our control, there has been a pause on these works. However, this should be completed within the next few weeks.
