Pedestrian button light goes off after pressing it

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 10:30, Tue 1 October 2024

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6536981.

This problem has been ongoing for over a month. On Prescot Road between Macfarren Street and Bell Street, the pedestrian lights are faulty. When you press the button the light comes on and then instantly goes back off again. It is a struggle crossing the road with children to take them to school as we have to wait for people across the other side of the road to press the button for us to be able to cross over.
