Blocked drain

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 21:43, Saturday 28 September 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6528060.

The drains on the Crawley Road from Burycroft farm down to Willow Farm are blocked and have been for more than two years. Each time it rains the water rushes down the road making cycling and walking unsafe. In cold weather last winter there was a wide ribbon of ice all along the road - the speed limit here is 60mph despite a sharp, blind bend and no footpaths. Please fix this before more ice this winter. P.S there is a water /possibly sewage (paper etc) coming out of the manhole at the entrance to Milking lane and flowing across the road into Willow farm. Many people have to cross the road here to walk in Foxburrow wood and it is very difficult due to the volume of water.
