A storm pipeblocked

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 11:29, Thu 26 September 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 7 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6518526.

A storm pipe man hole has 3 feet of water above the pipe, which is very close to my yard at Common Farm.

I have been pumping out for two days, lowering the water level in the yard, then returning the next day to find the water is back.

On checking the storm water manhole very close to my yard, found the water to be at 3 feet above the pipe line, I can only assume this is why, as fast as I pump out, the water in the ground is so high it is levelling itself back in my yard overnight.

I would be very grateful, if someone can clear the manholes along the whole pipeline route, at Milton Common, to get the water in the pipeline flowing again, to a level it should be keeping it at. and hopefully solve my problem.

  • One week after excessive rain, The water line in a storm pipe manhole, is still way above the Storm pipe.

It would be helpful if the storm pipe and manholes could be cleaned out.

This would avoid flooding again, should we have another excessive rain period.

  • October 10th 2024.

The water table level at Common Farm, Milton Common, is still way above the top of the storm pipe, which runs adjacent to my property.

Until this storm pipe is cleared/unblocked, and we have excessive rain, the risk of being flooded again, is certain to happen.

Please, can someone action the storm pipe and manholes to be cleared/unblocked.
