Flooding and potholes

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Jean Lees at 14:43, Mon 23 September 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6505066.

When it rains, the A417 floods very badly on and near the junction with Silver Lane, West Challow. This was a big problem last winter and necessitated the need for traffic lights and one way traffic. Several cars got stranded. We were told this would be fixed when it dried up in the spring. The problem has not been fixed and we face another winter with this flooding issue. Please fix asap. At the junction of Silver Lane and A417, when you turn towards Wantage , there are several deep potholes in the road surrounding the manhole and other covers. They have been there for several months and have got worse with all the flooding. They are very dangerous on such a main road and especially when it floods as you cannot see them. Please fix flooding and potholes asap.
