Sign missing

Reported via desktop in the Sign Missing/Damaged category anonymously at 11:17, Thursday 19 September 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6489614.

• Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below: The warning sign that there is a left hand turning ahead has disappeared from the lamp post in Homesdale Road opposite Godwin Road. I have repeatedly over the last many years had to ask you fix this sign and also to repaint the SLOW sign on the road just after the bridge and before the left hand turn into Walwyn Avenue. Now there is no sign and no slow sign and cars coming under the bridge have no warning that there might be vehicles coming onto the main road. We can’t see them and they can’t see us. I last asked for the slow sign on the road to be repainted about 2 years ago. There have been several decisions made about making Homesdale Road safer, crossings, yellow boxes with cameras to control the entrance to Waldo Road depot. I am writing to suggest that action is taken on this before there is yet another preventable accident in this road. Thank you! . • What action (if any) would you like us to take? Put up the sign. Paint the slow sign on the road ( on the correct side this time) put the projected crossing in. Soon.
