Zebra crossing missing

Reported via mobile in the Road signage category anonymously at 09:40, Monday 16 September 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6475748.

This is a very busy area with school children, university students and general foot traffic. The zebra crossing has been missing for several months now but has not been replaced or a temporary crossing provided for pedestrian safety. This is an urgent safety matter, as vehicles are not stopping to allow people to cross and pedestrians are at risk of being hit by moving vehicles.

  • The zebra crossing has been missing since early July when the road was resurfaced. No sign that it’ll be repainted. This is now a significant hazard due to the returned university students combined with school children. At peak times this road is very busy with pedestrians. Please repaint this ASAP before there is an accident.
