Dangerous drainage gully in railbridge walkway

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category by Jane Dale at 18:09, Friday 13 September 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6469797.

The drainage gully in the walkway under the Botley Road railway bridge is difficult to see, especially given the works hoardings and when crowded with pedestrians coming off buses that terminate before the works. I severely sprained and fractured my ankle by stepping into it on 8 May this year. Whilst the works are ongoing, could some sort of covering be put over the gully to prevent accidents such as mine. Thank you
