New pedestrian crossing lights - sound too quiet

Reported via desktop in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 16:08, Thursday 12 September 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6465933.

A new set of pedestrian crossing lights have been installed between The Frame and Bel and the Dragon on the Odiham High Street. The lights appear fine but the alarm sound to alert pedestrians that it is safe to cross is far, far to quiet compared with the previous version. It is difficult for the elderly to hear and will not attract the attention of children. Please can this alarm sound be increased to improve safety for pedestrians
