• Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below: I am dismayed at the chopping down of the beautiful tree outside our house. We had absolutely no warning or prior information, with no explanation for the need to destroy such a lovely specimen. We are also very annoyed at the state of our car, which is totally covered in debris etc. With any warning at all we could have moved it. We would like Bromley Council to pay for her to be cleaned. Finally something needs to be done with the stump. Within hours of killing our tree it has now become a litter point. With people placing rubbish on it, the stump needs needs lowering, it’s a perfect height for dumping litter at the moment. • What action (if any) would you like us to take? Pay to clean our car, remove the stump, explain yourselves and apologise.

  • You still have not had the courtesy to respond after five months. And you certainly have not done what I asked of you.

  • Please accept our apologies, the enquiry has been closed down in error. The tree was sadly diseased by wood decay pathogens and removed on the grounds of health and safety. The stump is in hand to be removed and we aim towards replacing the tree in the next planting season starting in November running through to March 2026. Tree works operations by nature can sometimes be messy with the use of chainsaws which generate dust/debris, to which we expect the contractor to clear up after themselves. Your comments are being investigated which you will be updated of the outcome.
