Large tree planted in pavement has lost several large branches, falling onto the road and pavement. Primary school staff have moved branches that were obstructing the pavement. There are still several visible large branches that appear rotten and could fall in adverse weather. This is a route for children walking to two primary schools and as such poses a fairly significant risk of injury.

    We have assessed your enquiry and the tree needs to be inspected by a qualified arborist. Tree inspections are carried out in accordance with the Council’s Tree Management Strategy. Should the arborist’s report identify safety related work this will be programmed. We will provide a further update after the arborist’s inspection.
