Pedestrian/cycle lane sign wrong way route on Cycle Route 6

Reported via desktop in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 22:46, Sun 8 September 2024

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6450739.

When heading from Luton Airport Parkway station towards Park Street, there is a sign where the shared path splits into two - it seems to be the wrong way round and the cycle sign on the ground below seems to have faded.

There are a number of pedestrians who walk in the cycle lane rather than in the lane meant for pedestrians which causes a safety issue, particularly as they cannot hear the sound of a bell with headphones on. Perhaps there can be better signs at each end of the path at Park Street and Gipsy Lane along with markings on the lanes?
