17 bollard lights & 3 lamp posts (MS 95, MS 97, MS 98) out around Midsummer Boulevard traffic circle at Midsummer Place

Reported via desktop in the Street lighting category anonymously at 23:52, Thu 5 September 2024

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6441799.

All 17 bollard lights surrounding the Midsummer Boulevard traffic circle at Midsummer Place shopping center are out. Additionally, three lamp posts in the same area - MS 95, MS 97, and MS 98 - also have bulbs that are out. The lamp posts in this area are numbered MS 91-MS 98 and display the Milton Keynes Council lamp post numbering and report telephone number. However, these lamp posts do not appear on the official council map for reporting issues. The lack of lighting creates a very dark and potentially unsafe environment at night for pedestrians and motorists.

This issue has been ongoing for at least a few years. I have attempted to report the issue through the official Milton Keynes Council channels, but the lamp posts are not listed. I am concerned that the lights may not be the responsibility of the council, but potentially Midsummer Place.

I urge the relevant authority to investigate and resolve this issue as soon as possible to ensure the safety and security of the area. This issue has been ongoing for at least a few years.
