Overgrown trees from UWE Glenside colliding with double decker buses

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction category anonymously at 14:12, Thursday 5 September 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6439903.

The trees in the UWE Campus have overgrown too much for the double decker bus traffic so they hit it every time.

In the last 2 weeks I have witnessed at least 4 large branches falling after collision so this poses a serious pedestrian safety issue - I actually saw a school child luckily only with a large soft green leafed branch fall on him to no harm but the risk here is significant!

Solution: trim the trees and enforce these buses to keep to the 20mph speed limit (they always speed on this 20mph road).
