Pathway sunken and hole formed about 0.5m deep. Dangerous to pedestrians.

Pathway has a dip in the surface outside number 42 Award Road. A hole has now formed that appears to be about 0.5m deep. Dangerous to pedestrians!

Further to the description above, I believe the source of the problem is a collapsed road surface water drain pipe. Street water drainage has been a problem in this area for many years and, as your records should show, the state of the pipes have been investigated before.

Council have only barricaded the pathway. It is likely the hole is caused by a collapsed drain as is hollow underneath. If the drain is collapsed and blocked it is likely to cause flooding with heavy storm rain as flooding occurs regularly with the inadequate surface water drainage in the area.

Still not fixed. Recent local rain caused drain cover next to hole to overflow suggesting it is a could be a collapsed drain causing the problem.
