Emergency gate security chain bolt cropped

Accident a week ago on A27 caused que on West to east lanes, a lady was having heart issues and quickest way was get off the A27 onto back roads to hospital quicker than ambulance apparently. A fire man in a car got bolt croppers out cut the chain so the vehicle could get to hospital, ( not sure I believe it but!) the chain link was set so it looks like it is secure but isn't and will need changing for a new chain before this becomes a rat run and gate left open all the time like on the past
