Blocked drains with silt /sand
Reported via mobile in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 14:16, Sat 31 August 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6420239.
The drains along the avenue are all blocked up/need clearing. Particularly the 4 at the bottom ( at the top of driveways to 8 and 8a) which are full of silt / sand/ vegetation and are struggling to clear any water draining into them. I am concerned that these drains will not be able to take the amount of rain water that will inevitably be flowing down the road in the coming weeks/months, potentially causing the properties to be flooded. Please can these drains have some immediate attention to assist with alleviating this possibility. Please also clear the drains all along the avenue, as well as on the corner with West Town Lane to ensure these are clear.

Despite reporting this over 6 weeks ago, these drains haven't been cleared. During today's heavy downpour our house was almost flooded because of this! Please sort them out ASAP! (the drain at the top of the Avenue, on West Town Lane is the worst meaning all water from west town lane is also rushing down the hill to the bottom of the cul de sac!).
