Major pothole

Reported in the Potholes category by Charles Walker at 22:39, Fri 29 May 2015

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later

There is a deep pothole on Bridge Road outside the building site for the new retail park.

Approximately 3 months ago there was a burst water main here, Yorkshire Water filled the hole with tarmac poorly and repaired the pipe.

4 weeks after that the tarmac eroded away in rainy conditions, this was reported to the council who, just filled it with tarmac. It rained 3 weeks ago, its falled apart again.

I have reported this to the council last week but they don't seem to have done anything. This needs digging out and filling properly.

The picture does not do this justice. This is a busy road, with 1000s of cars a day passing through next to a busy retail park. The pothole is about 1.5/2 inches deep, 2 foot wide by 1 foot across. This needs to be repaired because if someone hits it at 30mph, it will do £1,000s of damage!char
