Reported via mobile in the Obstruction blocking access category anonymously at 18:48, Tue 27 August 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6404558.
Blackberry brambles are growing out over the pavement at head height, causing me a scratch to the face. Situation reported previously. You issued a notice to rectify upon the landowner giving him 28 days to remedy the issue. 28 days have now passed. No works have been done. The situation has worsened considerably.

This issue persists today. Landowner has done nothing. Why can BCC not resolve this? Why do they not carry out clearance works and bill the landowner? So far BCC have been totally toothless and ineffective. Can I have a rebate on my council tax please as I am not getting the services I pay for?

The first report about this matter was made on 13th June. That is five months of a blocked overgrown pavement in our street. What do I need to do to get my council to take action? Why are they so inept? Can someone be brought to account over both the brambles not being trimmed, and the council staff failing to enforce clearance of the pavement. For god's sake this is pathetic.

We have sent an enforcement letter to request that the land owner takes action on the issue raised.
If the matter remains unresolved 28 days from the date of this update, please let us know via a new enquiry on Fix My Street so that we can consider whether further action is required.
