Ridiculous diversion in place

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6399731.

Roadworks closed westbound lane of Hale Road. Diversion goes along A562 which has no cycle facility, so presumably you want me to ride in the nearside lane of a major trunk road with a 70mph limit, hoping that drivers see me in time when a cyclist is the last thing they expect to see! Whoever thought this would be OK needs to think a bit harder...
