Public Right Of Way at the Garden House

Sent to Stockport Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6389487.

The 1888 Ordance Survey Map of Marple Bridge, clearly shows a public footpath from Marple Bridge to Roman Lakes, following the contour of the River Goyt around the development known as the Garden House.

Could you please therefore advise as to why the charity known as the Garden House (Marple) are restricting access across this historical public right of way and also insisting on a payment to use this Ancient Right of Way?
