Overhanging trees

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 09:05, Thu 15 August 2024

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6358664.

FixMyStreet ref: 3689725. Sent July 2022.

LCC visited & concluded that the trees are healthy so would not be addressing our problem of fully shaded gardens & falling leaves which turn slimy, making walkways & patios unsafe.

Please realise that the sheer height & volume makes it beyond our ability to tackle it ourselves.

These are not our trees. How can they not be maintained for over thirty years and be deemed safe especially when one has already fallen?

How are there legal court cases regarding trees blocking the light to someone’s property yet you chose to ignore this?

If you won’t reduce their height then at least come and remove the overhang which is too high for us to do.

This problem is affecting three streets of mainly elderly residents.
