Parking on blind corner creating collision opportunities
Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 08:42, Thu 15 August 2024
Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6358528.
Despite the nursery giving numerous warnings to parents/drivers. There is still a daily, multiple occurrence, of drivers parking very unsafely on this corner. They are just outwith the keep clear roadmarkings however they 1) block wheelchairs, prams and pavement access in general on this side of the road and 2) create a bottleneck for a high traffic corner and therr is a weekly, if not daily, occurrence of drivers having to enter the corner on the wrong side of the road to get past and this has created alot of instances of brake slamming, congestion, near misses. In addition there have been times where wheelchair users and prams have had to walk on the road around the cars and this creates an additional crisis of parents woth toddlers and disabled being forced into vulnerable situations.

Nothing has been done about this. Now we have 17.5 ton lorry's parking on this corner creating even more of an unsafe environment. What will be done to stop this from happening!
