Reported via desktop in the Obstruction caused by fence category anonymously at 18:55, Wednesday 14 August 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6357168.
An electric fence has been strung across the footpath in the location marked on the map. This fence is live, as confirmed by 2 of our walking group this morning, 14th August 2024. The electric fence was not there when the path was walked on 4th July 2024. The farmer has recently put in a new field gate further along the field boundary, but this is several hundred yards from the footpath. This footpath is part of the Cotswold Way National Trail circular walks no.15 - Hailes and Beckbury Camp.
