Overgrown bush in garden over pavement next to post box

There is an overgrown bush in the garden of 60 (named Hillcrest) Fonthill Road, Hove. The garden is sited next to a post office box so the pavement is already made narrow for pedestrians. The bushes mean that we risk being speared by a branch as we can just about manage to walk along the pavement.
