Overgrown trees/bushes/weeds not looked after over a year

Reported via mobile in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 14:45, Mon 12 August 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6346249.

This has been a growing problem for well over a year. The tree branches are in the way and cause you to duck, there are weeds and stinging needles all the way down, and everything is so over grown it's like walking through a jungle trying not to get hit by something. People need to walk down there either dogs, prams, etc., and is at the point of being unusable.

  • This problem still has not been fixed. The gate by NPR is almost hidden from the overgrown bushes. This public right of way is almost not usable.

  • This problem is only getting worse and now due to the Miller Homes development, even more water is flowing into this public right of way. This pathway is now completely covered in mud, overgrown hedgerows, and weeds.

I complained to the council about this using their public right of way website and got told: " Cow Lane will be upgraded when monies from the adjacent housing developments has been released. This should be in the next couple of years."

It doesn't need to be upgraded, it needs to be looked after which it hasn't in many years.
