Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 18:39, Tue 12 May 2015

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later

The stream flowing along Denton Close towards Green Lane has become blocked behind Pinnocks Way and is flooding the green area. There is also a barbed wire fence which has become a danger to children playing on the green.

Updates

  • The Vale of White Horse District Council will check the stream that is alongside the councils open space in Denton Close and check for the barbed wire fence that adjoins it. Once this visit has taken place we will come back to you.

  • I can't see that anything has changed regarding the old barbed wire fence on the stream bank although it appears one of the properties has used some of it on their boundary screen. Where it is most noticeable is where the stream goes behind the houses in Denton Close which isn't our land. The stream culvert is not blocked and the area which was causing the flooding in the winter is deep within vegetation and scrub which I wouldn't want to clear at this time of year in the bird nesting period. We will carry out some clearance there in the autumn to resolve the issue.
