A danger to cyclists or pedestrians crossing the road

Over 1mtr long x 450mm wide x 100mm at the deepest point.Treacherous, always filled with water so a hidden danger, until you hit it, as I did whilst cycling.Knocked out and hospitalised as a result with a head injury, luckily not run over with a car as a result of this.
