Loose in places/partically broken cattle grid

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:57, Tuesday 30 July 2024

Sent to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6293322.

Hi everyone, First steps into making this public, and anyone else having issues with their vehicles having to plough into this displaced cattle grid, maybe take to socials. I reported this loose/partially broken cattle grid, so bad it has a 'ramp' sign in its vicinity, directly to RCT on 3rd MAY, 2024 (almost a quarter of a year ago), after first raising the issue with the Welsh Trunk Road dept, but they (the Trunk Rd department) informed me the cattle grid in an RCT asset. Since the date of reporting the issue to RCT (3/5/24), in addition to no remedial works taking place, I have emailed RCT asking for an update on approximately 10 separate occasions, and at first was informed an update would be requested (I have received no update), and after the first few mail requests, further emails by myself asking for an update have since been completely ignored. I emailed a local councillor to investigate this situation, who, when I emailed again, replied saying he himself had asked for an update, but had received no correspondence. On 22nd July, 2024, I complied an official RCT complaint, documenting the cattle grid situation and expressing my displeasure in the departmental practice received. However, with no surprises, to date even that official complaint has had no reply. I have of today even asked for an update of the complaint submitted Please take note of when the issue was first raised (3/5/24) if your vehicles suffer damage caused by the cattle grid. I will keep the community, and everyone who uses this road and observes social media, of any progress (or not).
