Timing on pedestrian crossing has changed

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 17:40, Saturday 27 July 2024

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6283498.

Some work was done to the crossing this year and now pedestrians are having to wait a long time after pressing the beg button to be able to cross the road. It used to be very quick.

Updates

  • What happened the last time I used it? It took so long to change that everyone waiting found a gap in the traffic before the green man appeared. What do I see afterwards as I'm walking down the street? The lights have finally turned red, the crossing is empty, and a driver is going through the red light.
