The Crab apple is sadly, declining in health with approximately 15% of live canopy remaining (presumed drought related). To attempt to prune the tree would induce further stress to an already stressed tree, which would heavily rely on the tree having sufficient energy levels to occlude pruning cuts which the tree would never recover from. Works are raised to have the tree removed and a replacement added to the planting schedule 2024/25 which planting starts in November running through to March 2025.

Please accept our apologies for the delays, the works have been taken off our incumbent contractor and issued to a third party contractor for completion. We envisage that the contractor will take 6-8 weeks to complete them.
