This beautiful old Beech Tree is looking very sad and not leafing as it should. Please could someone look at it? It is on the verge outside 54 & 56 Charterhouse Road. Thank you.

  • The Crab apple is sadly, declining in health with approximately 15% of live canopy remaining (presumed drought related). To attempt to prune the tree would induce further stress to an already stressed tree, which would heavily rely on the tree having sufficient energy levels to occlude pruning cuts which the tree would never recover from. Works are raised to have the tree removed and a replacement added to the planting schedule 2024/25 which planting starts in November running through to March 2025.
