Dangerous Hump in road

Reported via desktop in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 12:26, Wed 24 July 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6269723.

I am a middle aged man who walks 30 miles a week but, even I, keep getting caught out by the hump that's formed half way across the road as you walk north to south right next to the sandwich shop. It's a matter of time before it causes an older person to stumble. The junction is a difficult one for both pedestrian and motorist at the best of times.

Updates

  • You often have to nip across quickly when allowed by motorists.

  • A year later and nothing has been done about the hump in the middle of this road despite Hampshire County Council claiming to have the work scheduled and the fact that this road has been closed to traffic for the past few days for work being carried out about 20 feet away.
