Reported by jean cushway at 07:03, Mon 27 April 2015

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council and Three Rivers District Council 2 minutes later

I do not want a 7 storey block of flats built. I do not want 500 units built on this site.

  • This is well outside the scope of Fix My Street.

If this is not covered by permitted development rules, the correct place to express your concerns is as a formal objection to the planning notice. I can't find any current or recent planning application for anything on that scale in that area,

If you are objecting, you need to give a reasoned argument, as councils will expect lots of objections to any large development, so are not going to give much consideration to an objection without clear reasons.

If this part of the development mentioned inhttp://www.threerivers.gov.uk/ page/ south-oxhey-initiative-frequently-asked-questions and it is proceeding to time table, it is far too late to enter an objection.

Note though that there are temporary increases in the permitted development rights in force that allow conversion of offices into flats: http://www.shoosmiths.co.uk/ client-resources/ legal-updates/ Office-to-residential-conversions-and-permitted-devt-rights-5989.aspx I assume, however, that these only apply if there is no significant increase in size.
