Hedge covers 70% of path

Reported via mobile in the Hedges category anonymously at 17:54, Tue 23 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6266650.

The whole length of the pathway is obstructed by the heavily overgrown hedge. It is almost inaccessible. Many residents are elderly or families and no pushchair is getting down it easily. This has been an issue for over 6 months

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly. For more details, you can refer to our Highway Verge and Vegetation Management policy at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf
