Sub-standard reinstatement

Reported via Android in the Potholes category by Shaun O at 14:33, Tue 23 July 2024

Sent to Cardiff Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6265653.

Poor quality reinstatement. Looks to be cheaply done, tar has just been thrown into pothole, no straight edges, edges don't appear to have been sealed before or after. This looks to have been a rushed job to avoid having a valid permit to carry out this work. This will likely only last temporarily, no doubt will have to be redone again next time we have poor weather. Waste of tax payers money.

Updates

  • Problem has not been rectified. Disappointing that the council allow cowboys to carry out these works. No doubt it will require another reinstatement once the winter months arrive and the adverse weather removes this poor excuse of a carriageway reinstatement.

Unfortunately the roads of Fairwater are filled with poor quality reinstatements at a cost to tax payers.
