  • The sink hole is getting bigger and a lot deeper. There have been many sink holes in the close vicinity over the last few year. Please can this be addressed before someone is hurt or the whole pavement and road collapses again.

  • It’s getting worse. The hold is getting wider and deeper as every day goes by. Please act. This is on Widmore Road, Bromley. It’s near Glades place.

  • We have investigated this report and assessed the issue is not the responsibility of Bromley Council. This could be because the location or asset is private property, an unadopted road or beyond the maintained extent of a road. We are unable to progress this report further and this report will be closed. Please note that Bromley do not hold records of private ownership but if the information has been registered, the ownership of private land may be found via a land registry search: https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry

  • Surely Bromley Council has a duty of care to protect the residents of Bromley and those visiting Bromley? Something needs to be done before someone is injured or the sinkhole increases by a significant size hindering pedestrians and road users. Worse still, if it grow it could take out the corner of The United Reform Church. If it spreads to the road it will prevent people driving in and out of The Glades car park. The Glades being part owned by Bromley Council.

  • Appropriate signing and guarding has been installed by the bodies responsible for the maintenance of Glades Place. They are aware of the issue and remedial works should be carried out by them in the very near future.
