Clevedon Road onto North Road

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category by Peter Mocock at 13:34, Thu 18 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6245989.

The problem is visibility when exiting Clevedon Road onto North Road. In a car you have to put you car bonnet onto North Road to have a chance of seeing vehicles coming down North Rd from Church Lane to Stones Cross, the oncoming cars make no attempt to slow down or let you out. They can see you for 9 seconds at 30mph giving ample time to slow down or let you out but instead swerve around your bonnet shaking their fist. In the first instance the hedge must be kept cut back behind the wall within the owners property or removed entirely. Next, place a chicane on the bend before Clevedon Rd from Church lane with priority markings from Clevedon Rd first then Stones Cross. There is a fatality waiting to happen, my son survived death but received serious brain injury on this very spot.
