Top part of footpath leading up to Alexandra Park
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 09:42, Thu 18 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6244596.
The footpath is reduced in width by up to a half in places with vegetation growing from beyond the railings on Beechen Cliff. A mother negotiating the pathway would at these points need to go onto the verge on the other side of the pathway which belongs to private landlords. The vegetation is composed of bambles and stinging nettles and therefore constitutes a health and safety hazard. Given that the pathway is a major pedestrian route for tourists and locals alike the excess vegetation should be cut back to the railings as soon as possible. The problem has become progressively greater as the growing season has progressed.
