Overgrown plants

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:50, Wed 17 July 2024

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6239805.

The amount of usable footpath has been reduced by 40-50% due to overgrown plants. As they are nettles and brambles, people are reluctant to move aside, meaning that two people can not be sure up side, one has to go in the road.

Updates

  • Council felt that the pathway is totally acceptable despite two people being unable to safely occupy the path at the same time. If a parent with a pram and a dog walker approach at the same time one or the other has to go in the road or cross the street. It’s unacceptable.
