Tree is diseased and dying

Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 13:05, Tuesday 16 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6236159.

I reported this problem last year - reference 4788797 You initially said that the tree was drought stressed and I replied that it wasn't. You then arranged for it to have a light prune - I did say that this wasn't sufficient as the tree was clearly dying. The light prune did not remove the parts of the tree that were dying. So here we are, a year later and the tree is still affected.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. The poor Indian Bean tree has dieback of the crown. Works have been raised and issued to the contractor to lightly reduce the crown by pruning back to live growth.
