Rays Road - More litter and rubbish
Reported via mobile in the Street Cleansing and Litter category anonymously at 14:17, Sat 13 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 2 days, 46 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6225470.
Hi. Again. For some reason you closed my previous report despite no action being taken, you mentioned you were passing to Environmental Health to remind Jewson of their responsibilities. Why can’t the Neighbourhood Officer pay them a visit? Why is this being passed from pillar to post?
As mentioned, Jewson aren’t interested so I’m looking at the Council to help get this resolved once and for all.
Thank you.

We have investigated this report and assessed the issue is not the responsibility of Bromley Council. This could be because the location or asset is private property, an unadopted road or beyond the maintained extent of a road. We are unable to progress this report further and this report will be closed. Please note that Bromley do not hold records of private ownership but if the information has been registered, the ownership of private land may be found via a land registry search: https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry

The problem is still ongoing: dumped rubbish that isn’t cleared. How is your environment team getting on with rectifying this issue? Have they spoke to Jewson?

As the issue concerns rubbish on an area which is not public highway or is regarding pest control or other public health issue, this report has been passed to Environmental Health to investigate and is now closed on FixMyStreet. For information, enforcement action against rubbish will be taken depending on the nature of the accumulation. Bromley Council only have powers to enforce the removal of rubbish which contains material that could attract pests or pose a risk to public health.
