Recent repair is failing on split in lane
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:38, Friday 12 July 2024
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6220822.
There is a split in the lane of London Road in front of the Oaklea House Nursery that had been repaired/filled/sealed. It then eroded in two places exactly where the tyres of vehicles run which caused sharp splits that thumped tyres and suspension, it was recently repaired again. This newer repair is already failing as it was too thin and not large enough. Now car tyres are being pinched again on the sharp edges of the split.

This is still an issue being made worse with the wet weather. There is a hard lip on the tarmac damage which is going to continue to erode the "repair" previously made.

Split is widening and getting sharper with heavy rain. Vehicles are actively breaking their lane to avoid.

The split is still not repaired and getting sharper as the tarmac erodes. Needs a proper patch, not a blob of tarmac, please
