Missing barrier from side of road
Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 16:09, Thu 11 July 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6218902.
Trees have been recently cut down on the bend at jewels hill, it is the highest point of the hill, it is the only part of the whole road that has no barrier, either wooden post, fence, curb, trees, metal rail. I think in the winter/icy roads it is likely a car could go over the edge. I might be wrong but that's what it seems like from drivers side. Could someone please go and check. I feel like they cut away too many trees from this one spot compared to the rest of the hill. Thanks.

There are currently no plans to install any form of barrier at this location. The 'armco' style barriers that are located further down the road were installed many years ago, and with newer vehicles being heavier than older models, are no longer strong enough to contain vehicles.
