Wait times are inordinately long

Wait timings for traffic lights to change to red at Kitesnest Lane/A46 crossing, and at Scott’s Crossing on A46, are inordinately long. It has been like this for months. These are popular pedestrian and cycle crossing routes, used also by school children, dog walkers and people going to/from the cycle path. The pavements are so narrow and vehicles stream past dangerously closely and quite often blatantly exceeding the speed limits, for ages before the lights finally change.

Please shorten the wait time to as short as possible, so that the pedestrians and cyclists do not have to experience these uncomfortable situations.

Moreover, by having such long wait times, it encourages people to dash across in a break in the traffic just to get out of the way.
