The hedge in question has not been mainatianed in anywy since the houses were built in 1986. That has fallen to the residents of the three houses mentioned. The Highways Dept insist it is a Council responsibility. Since the Council intend to close the Bollington Recycling centre and now charge us to empty the green bins, the Council needs to accept its responsibility and start cutting the hedge. Disposal of the cuttings requires at least 10 large bags of waste and two trips to the recycling centre. Had I not trimmed the gap in the hedge between Carnoustie Drive and Dorchester Way already, access would not have been possible - it was completely overgrown. The presence of trees alongside the hedge on the Carnoustie Drive side of the hedge precludes use of large mechanised machinery, hand held tools are required.
Please acknowledge and advise whn scheduled maintenqance will commence?
