Parking on blind corner of Abberbury Road

There is an increasing problem of cars parking on Abberbury Road close to the junction with Church Way. The problem is greatest at weekends, as people park here to walk to the Isis pub. The parked cars lead to cars approaching the junction on the wrong side of the road, and often at speed, as Abberbury Road is a hill which is deceptive to drivers approaching the junction. The entrance to Abberbury Road is semi-blind from Church Way, owing to a high wall on the corner, so oncoming cars approaching down Abberbury Road cannot be seen until quite late by drivers on Church Way.

It seems likely that there will be an accident soon unless parking restrictions are applied on Abberbury Road close to the junction. I recommend the first 100m of Abberbury Road be closed to parking. This would solve the problem whilst still leaving plenty of room on the rest of Abberbury Road for parking.
