Fixed
Previously reported, claimed to have been fixed, still untouched!
Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:37, Mon 8 July 2024
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6205503.
The deep and deepening pothole outside East Cottage is still there around three months after it was first reported.
At the end of June, Oxfordshire County Council was challenged when it put out an update claiming the pothole had been fixed, and closed off the original report. The second report has also disappreared.
This smacks of OCC Highways gaming the system to make its Key Performance Indicators look better, when the safety of road users is at risk. Get it fixed, OCC!

Eleven days after this pothole was reported for the second time (the first report having been dishonestly closed off as fixed by Oxfordshire County Council at the end of June) and there is still no indication that anything has been done or is being done.

End of July, three-and-a-half months after this was first reported, and still nothing has been done. The Midland Felt Roofing truck that has become a semi-permanent fixture, parked on the opposite side of the road (doesn't Midland Felt Roofing have a yard at its Woodstock base?), means buses and HGVs cannot avoid the crater, which is contributing to its deterioration.

At around 5:15 this morning I was suddenly awoken by a loud crash! It wasn’t a road traffic collision, or space debris impacting the ground, but a HGV hitting the crater and part of the vehicle or its contents being shaken as a consequence. As I write this, a skip lorry has just driven past and the noise was horrendous - and that’s when I am sitting at the back of the house, two rooms away!
It’s now the end of August and although the crater has been outlined in white paint, that was three weeks ago. When will it be repaired?
